Montreal: A tragic highway accident on the morning of Sept. 8 in suburban Montreal took the lives of two promising Montreal actors, Jaclyn Linetsky and Vadim Schneider. Both actors were 17 and among the leading players in the new Canada/France teen TV drama series 15/Love.
Linetsky was also the English voice of the popular children's cartoon character Caillou between February 2000 and January 2002.
A spokesperson for Galafilm, 15/Love's Canadian producer, says grief counselors, contacted through the STCVQ film union, were working with members of the devastated production crew, and additional resources had been organized on behalf of cast and family members at the Galafilm offices.
In a prepared statement, Stuart Synder, president and CEO of Cinar, producer of Caillou, said, "Jaclyn's voice enchanted thousands of children and viewers and she brought her own special personality and character to Caillou. She was a very talented performer and will be deeply missed by us all."
